IKEA Lamp Assembly
This assembly consists of 68 individual parts and is the result of reverse engineering the IKEA "TERTIAL" work lamp.
Hi! Below, you will find a selection of SolidWorks designs and projects I have worked on, accompanied by their respective descriptions. Please feel free to review them at your convenience!
This assembly consists of 68 individual parts and is the result of reverse engineering the IKEA "TERTIAL" work lamp.
This subassembly is a product of reverse engineering, and it is composed of 11 different parts. Features like wraps, circular patterns, revolved shapes, and lofts are employed in its design. The internal threads for the bulb are created using the "Helix and Spiral" command, paired with a sweep cut along the defined path. Additionally, precise mate types such as tangent, concentric, coincident, and screw mates ensure seamless assembly and functionality.
This assembly is composed of 3 distinct parts, incorporating weldments such as end caps and a gusset. It also includes sheet metal features like sketched bends and base flanges.
This assembly consists of 10 parts and incorporates features such as loft, revolve, sweep, and thread. The components are primarily assembled using screw, concentric, distance, and coincident mates.
This assembly consists of 12 parts and includes features such as revolve, fillets, hole wizard, chamfer, and loft. The "Helix and Spiral" command, combined with a swept extrusion along the path, is used to create threads. Additionally, various mates, including tangent, screw, parallel, distance, concentric, and coincident, are utilized.
In the fall semester of 2024, I enrolled in a product development course where my team and I collaborated on an innovative project called "The Wheelie Cup." This product was designed to help wheelchair users securely store their drinks while on the move. Our dedication and teamwork earned us a finalist spot in the Design Day competition—an event at the University of Ottawa where students from various engineering design courses showcase their creations to the public.
